New Family Home - Buckinghamshire
We were approached by our clients who were enbarking on building a new home in Buckinghamshire. We came on board at the outset of the process and worked alongside architect Jeremy Spratley of Spratley and Partners to design a large family home to meet our client’s needs in terms of style and space ensuring that the exterior and interior worked seemlessly together. We blended classical detailing with clean contemporary lines, and created linked spaces to give a natural flow to the layout, whilst also the ability to separate spaces for privacy. The design, by encorporating elements such as full height windows and a large contemporary glass structure to the rear, gave a visual connection with the natural landscape beyond.
The final design adopted a soft minimalist approach for the interior, with an emphasis on natural materials, textural layers, and organic shapes with a muted colour palette, the result was a beautifully discrete and calm interior where every detail was carefully considered.
"Louise, as my husband described her, has been a shining light throughout our project. From the day we met her she has listened to what we want, and delivered it, being honest with her opinions and guiding us all the way. She has been so intuitive to our needs. Her ideas and creativity have been incredible and she has turned our house into a beautiful home, more than I could have ever imagined. Louise has treated the project as if it were her own, showing her excitement and sharing the highs and lows (that come naturally with a project of this size). Her patience, understanding and friendship has made this experience one that will leave me with very fond memories. Should I need to do this again, I would only ask for Louise’s help. Nothing has been too much for her".

The formal living room, family room, kitchen and children's playroom are all connected at the back of the property to give a contemporary open plan feel for modern family life. The design also included the ability for all the rooms to be closed off from one another when privacy is required.
Each room was designed to both complement and contrast to the others around it in the choice of materials, finishes and furniture.
As a young family our clients wanted the house to have a sense of fun so we introduced pops of uexpected colour, materials and shapes.
For the two children's bedrooms our clients wanted these to be fun playful spaces. We designed bespoke joinery in each room to give a reading nook space above their beds.
